I want kids to have fun and get hooked on
the game. They will have the most fun if they see they are improving. I want to
develop sportsmanship, competitiveness, how to practice, how to
think/strategize around a golf course, scoring skills and an athletic,
consistent golf swing. I accomplish this by using fun drills, examples from
other sports, and competitive contests as well as a structured periodization
for practice routines. Since kids have a short attention span, the best results
come from consistently changing their focus about every 30 to 45 minutes. I
never have juniors just “beat” balls.
